Bayshore Finance T&T Limited is honored to support the “No Child Left Behind: School and Uniform Drive,” a vital initiative by the St. James Police Youth Club/Project Excel. This donation of $1,500 will assist Vinita Singh, a Form One student at St. Joseph College, by covering school expenses, including uniforms, books, and essential school supplies.
Established in 2013 by Corporal Derrick Sharbodie, Manager and Founder of the St. James Police Youth Club/Project Excel, the “No Child Left Behind” initiative was created to ensure children from disadvantaged backgrounds receive the support needed to attend school. For over a decade, the initiative has provided a lifeline for children, supplying uniforms, stationery, and other school essentials to pave the way for their academic success.
Corporal Sharbodie, a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment, highlighted the impact of this initiative: “By offering young people the support they need early on, we help them realize their potential and shield them from negative influences. Every child deserves an opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background.”
Bayshore Finance CEO also reflected on the importance of corporate responsibility, stating: “We believe that investing in youth education is one of the most powerful ways to uplift communities and secure a brighter future for everyone. This is just the beginning of Bayshore Finance’s journey towards greater community engagement. We are committed to continuing efforts that foster development, and you can expect more impactful initiatives from us in 2025.”
This initiative reflects Bayshore Finance’s long-term strategy to incorporate social responsibility into its business model. The donation to the St. James Police Youth Club is the first in a series of community-focused activities aimed at fostering educational growth and development for young people across Trinidad and Tobago.
As the “No Child Left Behind” initiative continues to grow, Bayshore Finance stands ready to support the academic aspirations of children like Vinita Singh, demonstrating that small acts of kindness can indeed have a significant impact on young lives.
